West District Indoor Cup Rules

  1. Matches will be played at a central venue arranged by the District.
  2. The competition is open to all Clubs in West District, and to any group of indoor players, provided they adhere to Rule 3.
  3. A player may only play for one team in the competition.
  4. Matches will be 20 minutes each way played in accordance with the current Rules of Indoor Hockey.
  5. Each team must provide an umpire who may not play and umpire at the same time.
  6. If a match ends in a draw, three penalty strokes each shall be taken. If still drawn, then further penalty strokes shall be taken on a sudden death basis, using the same three players, although their order may be altered. The team taking the first penalty stroke of the first series shall not take the first penalty stroke of the sudden death series.
  7. Result sheets must be completed by both teams and sent to the League Secretary immediately after the game has been played.
  8. The first named team shall provide the ball.
  9. In the event of a colour clash, the first named team should change colours.

West District Indoor Plate Rules

  1. With effect from Season 2014-15, teams losing in Round 1 of the Indoor Cup will compete in a Plate competition. Teams forfeiting their Round 1 match will be ineligible to play in the Plate.
  2. All Cup Rules will apply to the Plate. For purposes of Rule 3, the Cup and Plate will be considered as one competition.
  3. The Plate and Cup Finals will be played on the same evening.

West District Indoor Hockey League and Cup Entry Form

This year’s Indoor Hockey League and Cup will take place on Thursday evenings at the Lagoon Centre, Paisley between 1900 and 2145 hours from 13th October 2016 to 16th March 2017. The cost will be £150 per team for League entry, and £20 per team for Cup entry. (All players must be registered indoor hockey players to your club and may only play for one team in the course of the competition.)
